There is a difference inbuilt in every Arai helmet. And that difference is a quality that can't be bought overnight - Arai is a family firm, run by Michio Arai and his father Hirotake before him. Every single resource in Arai is focused fully on the product itself, at making each Arai helmet that little bit better. It's a personal business and Michio Arai is still very much involved at every level in the helmets that carry his name.
 
Arai's philosophy is not a flashy or glitzy one. It simply revolves around making the best helmets possible. The most comfortable, the most secure, the safest.  Nothing finds it's way onto an Arai helmet without exhaustive testing and trials, time and time again. Both in the laboratory and on the racetrack, at the very highest level. And if it's not proven to be beneficial to safety, fit or performance, it's an irrelevancy.
 
Chris and Arai have a long association going back to 1994 when he started his racing career and his renowned 'Stalker' design is now part of the Arai range and available as a replica on the Astro R model.
